About Margot
Margot Lefèvre paints crowds — ballrooms, processions, rooms with too many people in them — and lets every figure but one dissolve. She works wet into wet on board, at speed, and destroys more than she keeps. The survivors are the ones where the light held.

5.0 · Crated properly and the colour is the colour
Packed in a wooden crate with corner blocks, not a cardboard sleeve. The gold reads warmer in daylight than on screen, which is the right way round — nothing about it is a disappointment in the room.

4.0 · Arrived well, the frame is a separate order
No complaints about the work itself. The listing photograph shows it framed and it ships unframed, which is the only reason this is not five stars.
